Approach to Nutrition Therapy
what to expect

Eating Disorders
Nutrition therapy services are tailored to support individuals struggling with various types of disordered eating and eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
Mental Health
Recognizing the intricate connection between nutrition and emotional well-being, nutrition therapy addresses the impact of diet on mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and emotional eating.
Gut Health
Optimizing gut health is fundamental to overall well-being. Nutrition therapy employs evidence-based strategies to support digestive health, alleviate symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders, and promote gut-brain axis harmony.

Nutrition for Recovery
Providing specialized nutritional guidance to aid in the recovery process, helping individuals rebuild a healthy relationship with food with consideration of variety, flexibility, and an "all foods fit" philosophy that restores nutritional balance and cultivates sustainable habits for long-term well-being.
Body Awareness
Embracing body neutrality and positivity is integral. Nutrition therapy helps clients to challenge societal beliefs about what defines health and promote self-compassion and acceptance.
All Foods Fit
Attuned eating practices are at the core of the therapeutic interventions, emphasizing present-moment awareness, sensory experience, and non-judgmental attitudes towards food and eating.
